I found myself reading the Gospel of Luke chapter 17:11-19. After reading and listening to what the scripture was telling me I can’t help but think if I am as grateful as I should be for the good and not so good in my life.
There were 10 lepers who were all healed by Jesus. Jesus told them to go to the priest and show themselves. Only one of them returned to Jesus to give proper gratitude for being cleansed.
As I contemplate, I realize that too often I do as the 9 and proclaim to everyone how great everything is but do not daily return to Jesus in thanksgiving with the understanding that it is HE who deserves all the glory and praise.
Even in the not so good in my life I should continue bringing gratitude to OUR LORD. It is in desolation that my relationship grows with Jesus. I should always be prepared and accepting to desolation because through Jesus, consolation will triumph and I will be cleansed if I truly submit to the Will of God.
God Bless,
